Bon Appetit

Step into your favourite on-screen moments by dining where the characters from your beloved TV shows and movies did.

BLUEBIRD CAFE. NASHVILLE, US
Nashville (2012)

The Bluebird is an intimate 90 seat music club that opened its doors in 1982.

It has always been difficult to secure a table at the club,  but it’s recently  increased popularity from being featured in almost every episode of the hit TV show Nashville makes it almost impossible.

This cafe is not like any other. Its purpose is for listening to the music, so sitting at the bar or casually talking over a meal will be met with the Bluebird ‘shhhh’ policy. You have been warned.

MACLAREN'S. NEW YORK CITY, US
How I Met Your Mother (2005)

Maclaren’s is the favourite hang-out spot of the How I Met Your Mother characters, and makes an appearance in almost every episode of the hit TV show.

Whilst Maclaren’s is not a real bar, it was based on the Irish bar McGee’s and this one you can visit. The show has boomed this bar’s business as it is now included in city tours and has special HIMYM food and cocktails menus featuring the most popular ‘TedMosbyIsAJerk.com’ chicken wrap and ‘Robin Sparkles’ cocktail.

CHEESECAKE FACTORY. CALIFORNIA, US
The Big Bang Theory (2007)

The Cheesecake Factory restaurant that is featured in the hit TV show has little to no resemblance to the actual chain of restaurants.

The Cheesecake Factory is where Penny works so there are many references to it on the show. We also can’t miss out the fact that Sheldon loved the food there so much he changed the group’s whole schedule to ensure they ate there every Tuesday night.

We recommend you order what he did: A barbecue bacon cheeseburger with barbecue sauce, bacon, and cheese on the side.

COYOTE UGLY. NEW YORK CITY, US
Coyote Ugly (2000)

Liliana Lovell, the bar’s founder, says it’s the most famous bar in the US. With the beautiful female bartenders dancing on the bar and enticing the crowd to keep on drinking, we’re not really surprised.

Everything you saw the bartenders do in the Coyote Ugly film is exactly what happens during every shift at the bar, and that’s why Hollywood came knocking on Lovell’s door. The Coyote Ugly bar has 14 new locations since the film aired, so it’s safe to say business is doing well.

If you’re not a big drinker it might not be the place for you because, as seen in the film, they “don’t serve water here”.

KATZ'S DELI. NEW YORK CITY, US
When Harry Met Sally (1989)

Everyone remembers the scene where Sally (Meg Ryan) made Harry (Billy Crystal) blush in Katz Deli in When Harry Met Sally’s  most iconic scene.

Since this happened the family-run deli has become a piece of cinematic history and has tourists lined outside its door almost every day. So if you’re looking for a quiet place to have lunch you might want to skip this one.

The deli receives an incredible amount of business because of its few minutes on screen in the romantic comedy, and has even hug up a sign above the exact seat it was filmed in saying ‘Where Harry met Sally...hope you have what she had!’

The deli was by no means struggling before this exposure as it has been known for its deliciously large pastrami sandwiches since it opened in 1888. They must be doing something right!
